Studio owner and lead photographer, Kevin Law, founded URBAN LIGHT STUDIOS as a company dedicated to creative innovation teamed with a collaborative spirit to ensure the highest satisfaction of our clients. With a background as a cameraman for film and television, he spent years working in Hollywood on the production of motion pictures and television shows. He then turned his passion for image into a successful L.A. photo studio, working with a variety of clients from actors and models to musicians, CEOs and billionaires. Having recently returned to his native Seattle, Kevin has lead design of a custom studio, restoring a 1920s industrial space to create the ideal environment for URBAN LIGHT STUDIOS.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Whether your photo shoot needs are for a basic portrait or an elaborate commercial shoot, you will be treated as our biggest client. We approach each shoot as uniquely as the people we work with, each client with the respect and courtesy we would expect ourselves. Creative does not equal snobby in our studio. Shooting is a collaborative process and the best images come from the process of creative interaction we foster with clients. We like to turn up the music, have fun, try new things and make new friends with our clients. Whether it is your first time in front of the camera or if you are a professional model, our job is to make capturing fabulous images fun and comfortable. We never did care much for the way things are "supposed to be done - we have our own way of operating and a look all our own. Innovative photography is what will make you or your business stand out - not blend in - with the crowd.

Dedicated to exhibiting innovative artwork from local and national photographers and artists, the URBAN LIGHT STUDIOS Seattle art gallery is a truly unique venue.
Housed in the iconic Greenwood Collective building, the gallery has been lovingly restored from an old industrial space, carefully preserving the character the space has earned through over 80 years of life.
Opening a new show the second Friday of each month to coincide with the Greenwood-Phinney monthly Art Walk, we are committed to offering the art community a unique experience, showing works by both well known and undiscovered artists that can't be seen elsewhere.
STUDIO RENTAL
Inspired by the great industrial lofts of Manhattan, URBAN LIGHT STUDOS is a custom designed photo studio meant to offer vast creative flexibility to photographers. With a variety of surfaces textures, from vintage brick to concrete to antique warehouse windows and salvage barnwood, there are all the makings for a unique shoot before a seamless is even pulled. High ceilings, available light, full length black and white cycs and drive-in capabilities add to the shooting possibilities.
With rental packages that include use of strobe equipment, a wide variety of modifiers and all grip equipment, the studio is a space to create world class images without the huge budget. We are committed to offering opportunities to both the up and coming and established photographer, and we will work with you every step to make your shoot go as smoothly as possible.
